Maintaining our property and keeping reserve houses in good repair is a priority for Chief and Council. A full two thirds of the houses on the reserve have had renovation work over the last few years.
The Band Council has spent many hours obtaining funds for new roofing, windows, new kitchens, new bathrooms, flooring, exterior siding and many other repairs necessary to provide comfortable, livable homes for Band members.
After the wildfire, 8 new homes were built and the band is currently finishing an elder’s 6-plex that includes 6 open concept 1 bedroom homes.
The housing staff are always searching for funding to build new homes and expand our community!
Our hope in the future, is to build a new sub-division with new homes and continue to grow our community.
